GEANZ Standards and Guidance Catalogue

This is the February 2025 update of the GEANZ Standards and Guidance Catalogue replacing the January 2025 update. The February update includes additional content, and in particular new and refreshed AI guidance.

The Government Enterprise Architecture for NZ, GEANZ (Genes) is an architectural DNA to modernise, simplify, and standardise the public service while making the most of government investments.

The GEANZ Standards and Guidance Catalogue uses the GEANZ framework to reference authoritative standards and guidance that government organisations, must, should, or could use to deliver digital services and digital transformation across the New Zealand public service. It is maintained by the Digital Services Branch of Te Tari Taiwhenua - Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) on behalf of the Government Chief Digital Office (GCDO).

This dataset, the GEANZ Standards and Guidance Catalogue, replaces the dataset Government Digital Standards Catalogue. The name was changed as the content of the catalogue was more than standards and more than digital. However, it does contain NZ government digital standards. Other changes were made to provide more information on when content of the catalogue is to be used, and to align to the GEANZ 2024 Framework dimensions, and the associated GEANZ Common Business Capability Model.

The supporting page on digital.govt.nz will be uploaded shortly; it is called the GEANZ Standards and Guidance Catalogue and will be found in this area: https://www.digital.govt.nz/standards-and-guidance
