Waipa District Plan - Deferred Residential Zone

These features are a spatial representation of the deferred residential zone in the operative Waipa District Plan. They indicate where there is future consideration for residential usage and the associated rules come into effect. Used as a guide in the regulatory process, managing land use, subdivision, the environment and economy. The data set was reviewed during the District Plan review in 2017 and has been amended based on the Waipa2050 growth strategy outcomes. Zones are predominantly defined by cadastral boundaries (where it was clear that it followed the cadastral boundary either through visual inspection or reference to the legal description(s)). At some location features are based on natural boundaries. Zones are subject to changes undertaken through the Resource Management Act.The Waipa District Plan was made operative on 14 August 2017 and has legal effect from this date. Further information on interpreting the District Plan Maps are available via the Introduction to the Planning Maps on the Waipa District Council's website
