These features are a spatial representation of the airport business zone in the operative Waipa District Plan. They indicate zones specific to the airport and its activities. This includes provision for a business park, noise control, strategic development and transport integration. Used as a guide in the regulatory process, managing land use, subdivision, the environment and economy. The data set was reviewed during the District Plan review in 2017 and has been amended based on the Waipa2050 growth strategy outcomes. Zones are predominantly defined by cadastral boundaries (where it was clear that it followed the cadastral boundary either through visual inspection or reference to the legal description(s)). At some location features are based on natural boundaries. Zones are subject to changes undertaken through the Resource Management Act.The Waipa District Plan was made operative on 14 August 2017 and has legal effect from this date.
