Traffic Counts - Hamilton City Council

You may access a GIS viewer that has been set up to view the data by clicking on this LINK.Hamilton City Council undertakes regular traffic counts at approximately 150 sites throughout the city. This information is used for monitoring trends and planning for new works. Some sites are counted continuously and this data is analysed to determine seasonal variations in traffic flows throughout the year. Most sites are counted for a seven day period once every one or two years. These counts are adjusted using factors derived from the continuous sites and then an estimate of the average daily traffic for the year is made.
