Modelled Probability over 50% - Class B (November 2020)

The predictive fish species habitats were provided by the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA). This data was refined and made into a spatial layer by MPI. The resulting spatial layer indicates sections of rivers where there is 50% or more probability for the existence of given species. Along with the sampled NZFFD data, these habitats are used by MPI to determine sections of rivers where freshwater fish species use for spawning, which in effect, requires setting limitations on deforestation on the margins of those rivers. This dataset was revised in July 2019 and was published following Gazette in December 2020This is a subset of the dataset, published to support querying in the nes-pf tool.
