Auckland Council

Provides local government related services within Auckland City, including local roads, footpaths, water supplies, sewerage system, landfills, parks, sportsfields, recreation centre and pools, regulatory services, community and economic development, arts and culture and democratic representation.

The Auckland Council was established on 1 November 2010 replacing the Auckland Regional Council; the Auckland, Manukau, North Shore and Waitakere City Councils; and the Papakura, Rodney and Franklin District Councils.
