This Entity describes the stretch of land which borders a flowing and open waterway such as a river or a stream. It has been designed to allow consents, assets, RFS etc to be assigned to the correct Property or Functional Location where no RatingUnit exists. The coverage extends out to the RatingUnits along the river corridor or is instead defined by a 1m buffer where the Watercourse passes through a RatingUnit. This feature is allowed to overlap RailCorridorSegment and ForeshoreSegment geometries but is segmented where the Watercourse branches off at a confluence, where it merges at a diffluence or where a bridge crosses it. It was initially populated via an analytical process using CCC WcWaterCourse data as a one off derivation, but will be maintained manually when future updates are required.
