Oceanographic Casts (CTD, Turbidity, ADCP, Turbulence) at Kamb Ice Stream (KIS2), Ross Ice Shelf, 2022

Data target a major subglacial outlet river emerging from beneath the Kamb Ice Stream boreholes: KIS-2A and KIS-2B. Turbulence was measured with VMP microstructure profiler to characterise the mixing controlling heat fluxes to/from the ice.

These data were used to determine both the role of water beneath the ice sheets and the ice-ocean interactions that take place once this water emerges into the ice shelf cavity.
