Oceanographic Casts (CTD, Turbidity, ADCP, Turbulence) at Kamb Ice Stream (KIS1), Ross Ice Shelf, 2019

Data target a major subglacial outlet river emerging from beneath the Kamb Ice Stream site 1 (KIS). These data were used to determine both the role of water beneath the ice sheets and the ice-ocean interactions that take place once this water emerges into the ice shelf cavity.

Turbulence measured with VMP microstructure profiler to characterise the mixing controlling heat fluxes to/from the ice.

12 profile sequences were carried out with various combinations of instruments and cameras.
