Near-Surface Frazil Ice GoPro Video and Stills, McMurdo Sound, 2022

GoPro imagery was collected from the camp hydrohole (-77.89475, 166.64835).

The GoPro measurements link with the research objectives of Antarctic and High Latitude Climate (NIWA SSIF), specifically observe and improve understanding of physical ice-ocean processes. The GoPro camera was used to complement the AZFP measurements by allowing near-surface visual confirmation of the presence of frazil ice, which was lacking for the Frazer et al. (2020) data from 2017.
