Carbon Release Estimates, Southern Victoria Land, 2024

This metadata record represents carbon release estimates generated from over 400 samples collected across the McMurdo Dry Valleys/Southern Victoria Land region. Samples were analysed for rock magnetism, dispersed organic carbon, and rock geochemistry. Samples at Beacon Heights were also analysed for coal petrology.

Samples were collected at: - Upper Wright Valley (-77.600548, 161.198282) - Lower Wright Valley (-77.509479, 162.007019) - Mt. Flemming (-77.544427, 160.205044) - Terra Cotta Mountain (-77.898279, 161.326545) - Beacon Heights (-77.787435, 160.585158)
