Benthic Community Assemblage Data at Cape Evans, 2000-Present

Repeat observations on benthic habitat and biodiversity from our long term monitoring suite at Cape Evans, a site that was first surveyed in 2001/02.This permanent transect (20 m depth) has been re-surveyed ~12 times since it was established in 2000/01

This dataset allows us to linkages between benthic community/habitat characteristics to sea ice conditions, and to investigate biological processes that will influence the speed and trajectory of species’ and community responses to environmental change.
