REPORT: Ngā Pī Ka Rere final report
Palmer S, Rayne A, Warburton H. 2024. Ngā Pī Ka Rere final report for New Zealand's Biological Heritage National Science Challenge.
This report provides an overview and reflections on the Biological Heritage National Science Challenge (BioHeritage) early career network, also known as Ngā Pī Ka Rere (NPKR). Written by NPKR co-leads Symon Palmer, Aisling Rayne and Helen Warburton, the report is intended to (1) highlight the importance of supporting early career people and leadership and (2) summarise our experiences and learnings to inform future early career initiatives.
The report includes a brief history on how NPKR began, a summary of our activities and research, and our recommendations for the future. We have kept each section brief, providing links for further reading and detail where possible.
