A square grid framework. This is one of three resolutions of grid, 1 kilometre, 500 metres and 250 metres, where the distance is the length of one side of the square grid cell.This is the 1 kilometre resolution grid.

The extent of the grid encompasses the New Zealand 12-mile territorial limit.
