Regional Natural Resources Plan: Maintenance Areas of Land and River Drainage Schemes (part)

This data shows parts of the maintenance areas of river schemes and land drainage schemes that existed as of 1 January 2000 and are relevant to drainage areas and maintenance areas shown on maps S5 9, S5 10 and S5 11 in Schedule 5 of the Regional Natural Resources Plan (formerly the Regional Water and Land Plan) (RNRP, Schedule 5). Operative October 2008.

Schedule 5 Maps S5 9, S5 10 and S5 11 show the Lower Kaituna River Major Scheme Drainage Area, the Waiōtahe and Huntress Creek Drainage Districts and the Rangitāiki Drainage District.

Data relevant to maintenance areas on maps S5 1 – S5 8 is not digitally available.

River Scheme maintenance areas are where maintenance works are carried out. These areas are different from the River Scheme rating areas.

Land drainage scheme areas are where maintenance works are carried out on canals, arterial drains, regional drains, pumped schemes and scheme drains within the shaded areas that are maintained by the drainage scheme administrator.
